Family Day updates

Dear 3709,

Here are some gentle reminders and updates regarding family day.

1. Please rmb to bring your money for the family day coupons on Monday. Once you have paid us, please indicate by signing on the classlist. thanks! NOTE: THE CLASS THAT PURCHASES THE MOST COUPONS PER LEVEL WILL WIN A GRAND PRIZE!

2. Also, we have sent in two proposals for family day--- one regarding the fruit stall and the other on basketball.

3. On top of the two proposals already sent in, Zuhaili suggested selling satay on family day. We can discuss this on monday and if you guys are agreeable to it, we'll send in a third proposal.

That's about it. (: Kudos to Shalini and Evelyn for getting this blog started.

Have a blessed weekend!

Updates

Hey guys! Shali here.
Just to inform ya'll, my phone's down, so PLEASE don't text or call me regarding something important, then tell me on Monday that I didn't get back to you! If it's imperative that you call me, use my house number: 64538694(:

Sooo... looks like the AJI auditions are over! Good luck to all those who participated and practiced for the competition. I'm sure you'll be 'in' the finals if you deserve it ;P If you guys have the time, you could add a post on how the auditions went...

Oh, and as for the family day fruit stall, I searched the net for recipies for fruit juices, and the average number of oranges used for a 500ml cup of freshly squeezed orange juice is THREE. So, we can actually calculate the number of oranges needed from that -- which really is quite a bit :O
But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't find any articles/comments on how many apples it takes to make apple juice. Weird, huh?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9Yv7rD3mkQ&feature=related > How to make orange smoothies.

Well, it's pretty much the same steps for every other smoothie, so I'm not gonna you-tube the rest of the fruits... no matter HOW exciting that might be.

OK, so moving on.

We have homework this weekend! I know, what a sucky thing to read about on a blog. But here's a checklist, for all you people, who, like me, remember homework only when someone talks about it in school, right before class :/

~ Math Tutorial 2
~ History Sample Question 2
~ Econs WS (Pgs 1-3)
~ PW (Research on your 'Groundbreaker' or source of 'Entertainment')
~ (Insert mother tongue HW here)
~ Lit reflections on 'My Husband's Tongue is Bitter'.

Yep. That's pretty much it.

I'm gonna leave you with my fave youtube celebrity, Olivia Thai and her rendition of 'Bed'. Have a good weekend ya'll!

HELLO EVERYONE :D

Hello.. Welcome to the newly-created 3709's class blog :)
Here, there will be updates, news, and photos of us on the events that we have.
Do visit the blog often :D
Here, you can make comments and discuss some issues on the tagboard.

Firstly, I would like to apologize to those who chose the URL "3709.blogspot.com", that it was not possible to have that URL. LOL. it's taken :(
The second most voted URL was "republic3709" which I put as the email address to log in to this blog.
So, that's how I came to use this URL.. "threesevenonine.blogspot.com" (third most voted)

You might think that having a blog is very old-fashioned and stuff like that.
Well, try to see it from a positive light :)
and look at the advantages and the fun that we're gonna have by blogging! haha.

But, the main thing of having this blog is, to keep everyone updated and also to keep everyone in contact with each other even though we're already graduated.

Long live 3709! :D

PS:
- Our PD tutors will be given the email address and password to log in.

- Those who are willing to help with the admin of this blog, please contact me or Shalini, so that we
can give you the email address and password to log in and contribute to the society of 3709 :D
No, no. You don't necessarily need to be a class leader to be the admin of this blog :)

- The rest of the class who don't have access to the admin of the blog, are requested to also
contribute some things to the blog.
Like, by: sending us photos taken at an event, visiting the blog, tagging, commenting on how the
admin of the blog has done, and giving us ideas on how to improve the blog :)

THANKS ^^
